The Pope’s Secrets by Ari Marcopoulos

Ari Marcopoulos is renowned for his exploration of portraiture, landscapes and a dramatic take on the mundanity of everyday life. Those themes are continued in Marcopoulos’ latest publication The Pope’s Secret.

Published by Nieves, the zine contains more of Marcopoulos’ unique photographs. In addition to the photography there is also a considered twist on the design and layout, with some images utilising a rectangular format with overlays and red accents. For those who follow Marcopoulos’ blog and books, this is a welcome addition and a continuation of the high quality output he continues to produce. It’s also a great introduction for those who aren’t so familiar with his work.

Available from Antenne Books now.
