Having teased this shoot on our Instagram account earlier in the week, we finally lift the lid on our photos of the Saucony Originals Shadow 5000 Mint Green and Grey/Blue.
Saucony Originals have been enjoying a very fruitful few years lately, having found their way back into the spotlight of popularity and rewarding those fans old and new with a wealth of colourways and collaborations, as well as some serious re-issues of forgotten models. Here we see one of their best sellers, the Shadow 5000, take on 2 complimentary colourways for Autumn 2014 – Mint Green and Grey/Blue.
Both shoes feature quite a different approach to their colour placement, with the Mint Green opting for a tonal upper with white branding and midsole, while the Grey/Blue offer almost the opposite – a clean upper with coloured branding and midsole. However different the placement of colour is between these two, the colour palettes themselves are quite similar and very complimentary. Both feature a nice subtle, muted colour as their main choice, aided with hits of bold reds and oranges. However nice the Grey/Blue colourway is, it’s the Mint Green that’s going to have Saucony fans drooling in anticipation and we’re happy to give you the first proper look at them here.
Both pairs feature a synthetic mesh upper with suede overlays, as expected from the Shadow 5000, but what’s new with these is that this is the first time ever that the Shadow 5000 has been placed in the mainline Saucony Originals range, previously only found in the premium department. A sign of the shoes popularity in recent years.
This double pack drops on July 15th as some of the first offerings from the Saucony Originals AW14 collection.
