Be Street Weeknd Paris 2014

Be-Street-Weeknd-2014-1

The final countdown is on to the next Be Street Weeknd urban festival that has taken place in Paris for the last 3 years. On October 4th and 5th the team behind French magazine Be Street will bring the publication to life inside the walls of the Grande Halle de la Villette.

The Be Street Weeknd brings together the full spectrum of urban culture including elements of art, music and fashion over two days. More than 180,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event and with over 3600 square metres of space to play with you can expect this one to be bigger than ever.

Live art and installations will come from the likes of US artists Tristan Eaton and Cyrcle, both known for their large-scale murals, Sweden’s Jacob Ovgren who’s work you may recognise from his numerous Polar board graphics, and Britain’s own Kyle Platts. The UK will also be represented in live music performances from Raleigh Ritchie and rapper Knytro alongside local, French talent in the form of Colt Silvers and Dream Koala.

On top of this, the Be Street Weeknd will also host stands from a huge number of international brands including the likes of Stussy, Fuct, Undefeated, Mishka, HUF, The Hundreds and Diamond Supply Co with footwear from Gourmet, Saucony and Nike SB. British brands Abandon Ship, Skull and Bones Boys Club and AONO will also have stalls at the event alongside a number of other independent brands from across Europe.

The Daily Street will be attending Be Street for the first time this year and I cannot wait to get inside. The brief teaser video below will give you an idea of what to expect with footage from last year’s event which included a full fun fair and a skate ramp alongside all of the live art and music.

What’s more, tickets for the event are entirely FREE, you just have to register for your free pass here. Numbers are already running low though so you’ll want to get in quickly. Book your ticket on the Eurostar and hop over to Paris for the day to check it all out, this is really not to be missed. Head to Be Street for more info and we hope to see you there amongst it all in a few weeks time.
