Two British Streetwear heavyweights, Gareth Skewis (Palace / Slam City Skates) and Paul Ruffles (size? / Footpatrol), have come together to create a new brand – LFT FLD.
We’ve been looking forward to seeing the fruits of this partnership for some time now. It’s not everyday that you hear that 2 of the most influential people in British streetwear and sneaker culture are teaming up. LFT FLD is the result of that collaborative effort, a reworking of 1990s sportswear references to create more refined, contemporary wardrobe staples. Branding is bold and large, giving the whole collection an old school streetwear vibe. Design has been done by Fergus Purcell, having worked with Palace, Silas and Marc by Marc Jacobs previously, his is another big name thrown in the mix.
The first collection featured in this lookbook is pretty simple in aesthetic and I’ll be very interested to see where the brand goes as it develops. There’s definitely an air of childhood memories to both this brand, collection, and lookbook, and I like that a lot.
Collection One drops at size? tomorrow, followed shortly by other select retailers.
