Nike x fragment design Air Jordan 1 (Sport Royal)

Nike-fragment-design-Air-Jordan-1-Sport Royal-01Following up from the sell out showcase that was the Nike Roshe LD-100, fragment design and Nike keep the heavyweight projects coming. This Nike x fragment design Air Jordan 1 takes cues from fan favourites such as the AJ1 ‘Black Toe’ and ‘Royal Blue.’

An Air Jordan 1 collaboration seems to be reserved for the major players and if anyone is going to do this shoe justice from the outside, it’s someone like Hiroshi Fujiwara under the fragment design moniker. This one remains close to some of the past OG models of the Air Jordan 1 and feels like an homage to the early days of this legendary signature line. At the same time, you look at this design and ask yourself why hasn’t this been done before. It’s almost a no brainer. The execution looks to be of a very high standard, with premium leather construction which highlights and compliments the classic AJ1 design. The colour placement is comfortably familiar. Details such as the iconic ‘Wings’ logo and Nike Air logo on the tongue are all in place and the finishing touch is the embossed fragment design logo on the heel panel. A sophisticated touch that feels so right here.

These are dropping at END., in very limited numbers, on 18 December. Price point is £135. Be ready and good luck…
