Nike have teamed up with James Lavelle and his Mo’Wax record label to create this concise capsule collection featuring an MA1 take on the Destroyer jacket and 2 colourways of the Nike Blazer High.
Already having a working relationship with Nike, James Lavelle is the man behind one of the most sought after Dunks of all time – 2004’s Dunk Hi Pro SB ‘Dunkle’. Here we see him take his counter-culture inspired creative approach to another Nike basketball classic silhouette, creating a Mo’Wax Blazer High in 2 colourways (black & olive).
Along with the footwear, the collection includes a cap and Destroyer jacket. The latter is inspired by the iconic MA1 military flight jacket, adding nylon to the shoulders, a bright orange lining featuring a heat-pressed camo pattern, graffiti style embroidery and removable twill patches. The back of the jacket reads ‘BUILD AND DESTROY’, while the removable patches read ‘SAMPLE CULTURE’, ‘HEADS HEADS HEADS’ and ‘OUR PAST IS YOUR FUTURE’. The MA1 Destroyer jacket and cap are both also available in either black or olive.
The collection is limited edition and available now exclusively from NikeLab destinations worldwide as well as nike.com/nikelab.
