Hanon come together again with Reebok Classic to produce this limited edition ‘3 Castles’ rendition of the GL 6000.
Hanon are some of our favourite collaborators. They just do nice, wearable sneakers, regardless of the storied behind each design (and there always is one). Here we see Hanon take inspiration from the Aberdeen coat of arms and its 3 castles, as a follow up to their ‘3 Castles’ Reebok Classic Leather from Summer 2014. Personally, I think they’ve done a much better job on the GL 6000, with a more monochromatic colourway, putting to good use a selection of greys and a vibrant red.
A luxurious pig suede number, the GL 6000 features some tasty detailing such as the Hanon flame logo replacing the usual Reebok Classic icon on the tongue tab, the embossed Reebok branding with the Union Jack on the side panelling, and the Reebok Certified Network branding embossed on the heels. Finishing touches come in the form of the leopard print tonal lining and co-branded in-sole, as well as the Hanon branding on all 3 sets of laces.
All-in-all, another very nice collaborative effort from team Hanon that will undoubtedly go down as one of their classics. The Hanon x Reebok Classic GL 6000 ‘3 Castles’ drops at Hanon on 6th December for £105 a pair.
