Converse CONS announce the latest instalment in the Kenny Anderson signature line with the clean cut KA3.
The Converse CONS KA2 proved to be a hugely popular shoe for the Converse skate brand thanks to it’s simple and effective design approach, teamed with a few comfortable details. I’m expecting the KA3 to do as well, if not better, thanks to its more mature appeal. Coming in both a premium leather version and a canvas version, Converse are clearly aiming this shoe at two markets; one for the older skaters and one for the much younger ones, evident in both the materials, branding and colourways (contrast stitching always makes me think youth market).
The premium leather versions are the stand-out here by a long shot, but that’s to be expected. Colourways are no-fuss and hark back to classic early ’00s skate shoes, especially the white/gum colourway. The branding is really nice on these, putting perforated leather to great use to create subtle contrast that doesn’t scream for your attention. Technical details come in the form of the drop-in Lunarlon sockliner and a perforated memory foam collar for fit and comfort.
The Converse CONS KA3 dropped today in the States, so expect to see it hitting stores here in the UK shortly.
