Nike Air Trainer ‘Medicine Ball’ collection (Air Trainer 3 & Air Trainer Huarache)

Nike Air Trainer 3 Huarache Medicine Ball Collection 01

Nike get set to release this medicine ball themed Air Trainer double pack, featuring 2 great colourways of the Air Trainer 3 and Air Trainer Huarache.

It’s nice to see Nike putting some focus on the Air Trainer, but also to not reach straight for the iconic Air Trainer 1, giving these guys a moment in the spotlight instead. The Air Trainer 3 originally debuted back in 1988, a little bit before the Huarache rendition that it sits alongside here debuted in 1992. Often overshadowed by a long list of well known Tinker Hatfield designs, the Air Trainer was as conceptual as some of his best, if not more. Inspired by the idea of 1 sneaker to suite every activity at the gym, the Air Trainer was the all-rounder for training (hence the name).

Paying homage to the inspiration behind the original shoe, this pack draws colours and materials from old medicine balls, most notable in the form of the premium ginger leather on the Air Trainer III. Both silhouettes are listed as Premium and drop tomorrow at Nike.com.
