Levi’s Vintage Clothing have dug into their 140 year heritage to bring back some classic styles inspired by the 1950s era, using Rock ‘n’ Roll as the main theme of the collection.
The 1950s youth of America created, used and evolved popular culture with music, drive-ins, cars and bowling alleys to develop their own sense of belonging. Rock ‘n’ Roll developed fashion along with all of the previously mentioned things, becoming a crucial aspect of youth lifestyle.
This SS15 collection from Levi’s Vintage Clothing pays tribute to this period and presents a collection made up of Hawaiian, Rodeo and Western shirting, directly taken from the Levi’s archive, replicated and showcased in a lookbook presenting a series of images inspired by the Rock ‘n’ Roll lifestyle. Each image is pretty much a throwback to that actual time and what the look would have been, but it is clear to see how these garments can be worked into a more contemporary outfit or a great source of inspiration if you are into ’50s style. A look I sometimes wish I could get away with myself.
Available from the Levi’s website, the collection also features denim, outerwear and basics as you would expect from the LVC line. The collection is also available at the LVC London store at 5 Newburgh Street, W1F 7RG.
