Birmingham based streetwear brand Note Apparel present their Spring/Summer 2015 collection in this clean, lifestyle focused lookbook.
Still relatively new as far as brands go, Note Apparel are quickly building a style and voice that is very much their own. A focus on doing things how they want to do them, regardless of trend or current movements, makes the brand feel comfortable in its own skin. It’s an attractive quality. The brand continues to develop at a comfortable pace with this collection, moving things forwards without jumping ahead, keeping a focus on their motto; “simple, wearable, quality”.
A few words from Note Apparel co-founder, Daniel, on the ideas behind this collection:
“This collection took shape over the last few months as we looked back at some of our favourite products and looked to redefine some of our staple pieces. Our aim has always been to create menswear items that blend well with other wardrobe classics and we feel we have further developed on that premise this season.”
Perhaps it was unfair of me to label Note Apparel as a streetwear brand, but I’d still consider it one in the more traditional sense – not in regards to the current “streetwear” trends going on, but in the sense of a grass-roots, homegrown brand with a bit of a punk/skate attitude. It’s a shame that the word “streetwear” has almost become a dirty word for some brands, trying to separate themselves from it when real streetwear still holds so much quality and charm. Just look to the Scandinavian and Japanese streetwear brands for example. Anyway, I digress.
The Spring/Summer 2015 collection features a mixture of t-shirts, shop coats, utility pants, jersey, hats and accessories and continues to explore the subdued aesthetic that Note Apparel are getting known for.
