The Primitive skateboarding team hit BaySixty6 this week, shredding the park and signing a sea of used skateboards.
Skate demos are a unique thing. If you haven’t been involved in the skate scene at some point in your life, and more likely the younger years when everything and everyone seems so unreachable, then you won’t know the feeling of a skate demo. With this in mind, we sent documentary photographer James Clothier to the Primitive demo to capture the atmosphere that only exists at this kind of event.
From people meeting Paul Rodriguez, to freebies being hurled from inside a shipping container, to people clambering onto roofs to get a better vantage point. James couldn’t have summed up the vibe much better.
Check out our interview with Primitive main man Paul Rodgriguez from last year.
