Supreme and Larry Clark come together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his cult classic film ‘Kids’ with this capsule collection.
Originally released in 1995, ‘Kids’ has become a cult teen drama focusing on youngers growing up in New York City in the early ’90s. It’s a highly regarded icon in both youth culture, film, skateboarding and New York culture and launched the career of the now famous Larry Clark.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film, Larry Clark has come together with his long time friends at Supreme to create this capsule collection, featuring clothing and skate decks. Depicting stills from the film, the collection is a straight forward approach, allowing the iconic visuals to do all the talking, with a cheeky quote on the back reading “Jesus Christ. What happened?”.
‘Kids’ wouldn’t have happened had it not been for Larry’s involvement in the New York skate scene as a photographer, where he met the films writer and star actor. The film also featured several Supreme riders at the time, so it’s nice to see the partnership continuing today.
The collection drops in-store and online at Supreme this Thursday, May 21st.
