UK sneakerheads will ascend on East London tomorrow as CREPE CITY once again takes over The Old Truman Brewery to showcase over 10,000 pairs of kicks.
It really doesn’t feel like that distant a past when CREPE CITY was a tiny event run in Notting Hill Arts Club, the famous West London basement club that was home to Yo-Yo for many years. The event that you will see tomorrow is a beast of a totally different kind, and a symbol for the growth of sneaker culture and consumerism in the UK and Europe. It’s gone big.
I know I’ve already said it, but 10,000+ pairs of kicks in one place. It’s really something you have to see with your own eyes to get a grasp of.
As per usual, The Basement will be taking over all things clothing at the event, with longtime partners Jason Markk onsite too. This event will also see the likes of Crepe Protect, Sneakers ER, Hanon, WellGosh, SHUK, and even G-SHOCK in attendance to bring their own bits of special to the occasion.
Of course, copies of CREPE CITY magazine, published by our very own TDS agency, will be available at the CREPE CITY Store alongside a fresh drop of CC merchandise.
Although advance tickets have sold out, there will still be £5 tickets on the door tomorrow for those willing to brave that infamous CREPE CITY queue.
We will of course be on site, camera in hand, to get a recap for those who can’t attend.
