Introducing: Victate


Time to introduce another new brand to the pages of The Daily Street. This time, not necessarily a brand new venture, but a new one to my eyes. Victate is a T-shirt label based out of London and founded in the latter months of 2009. This month, they return with a selection of clean cut graphic T-shirts – the first part of their Autumn Winter drop.

The collection of 5 T-shirt designs boasts simple graphics representing classic British imagery and typography, with use of more bold and modern twists like the Ambigram and an added air of sophistication. The colour spectrum is minimalistic, mainly black and white with splashes of gold, which compliments the simplicity of the imagery nicely. Each design is printed on 160g cotton T-shirts, finished with the Victate ‘V’ logo on the left sleeve and an internal printed label, all of which goes together to make a really nice collection. My personal favourite is the Heritage design, available in both black and white (and also on the tote bag) – I just love the classic, simplistic approach.
