Soap-Box Spring 2011 Collection

Never away from the pages of The Daily Street for long, Soap-Box are back with another drop, this time, their Spring collection of tees and outerwear. The brand continues to develop their line of cut & sew jackets and brings with it a selection of logo tees in a complimentary colour palette.

Soap-Box’s recent custom stadium and varsity pieces have never failed to impress me, and the new Italian wool ‘Shades of Blue’ jacket is no exception. Concept-wise, the jacket’s materials feature a collection of different ‘shades of blue’, including on the interior, and the letterman and logo patches on the chest for an over all, real clean look. The jacket is accompanied by a pair of simple logo tees sporting Soap-Box text across the chest, available in grey and navy blue. It’s a shame, but I have to say I think these two tees let the release down a little – they’re no different to the sort of thing the brand has been producing for a while now, and the text has become a little over-played. Compared to the prowess the brand’s recent cut & sew has carried, these basic tees are hugely overshadowed.

Look out for news on the brand’s new collaboration with Japanese illustrator Yuu Minagawa to follow shortly, and check out further images of the collection below. All will be available from February 28th from Soap-Box.

soap box have stepped up thier game from the 1st time i seen their tees. the quality of products they have out now is amazing. the jackets are made so well, and having worked with nearly every blank tee around, I can definatly say the tees they use now are a next level. I really hope soap-box do well this year

Agreed with what you’re saying, S.B, but those are some suspicious initials for someone so hyped on this brand!

    Jackets looking mint.

What is different about this from the last jacket released I feel soap box are playing it safe with such dark colours, and yes the tees are disappointingly basic, rushed even something more could of been added maybe some actual shades of blue to incorporate the collective name and with only 3 pieces (two of which leave more to be desired) its less of a collection and more a jacket and tees

haha yeah SECVRE i can see how it looks…. reason was so hyped on the jackets… I found out about soap box last year.and seen the progression and changes they have made, and then actually seen these jackets 1st hand and know all the work that went behind them after talking to the guys at urban platform sale.

but yea, agreed my initials do look a little bait…..
