King Apparel SS11 Lookbook

East London born brand King Apparel present their lookbook for the Spring/Summer season, displaying a number of products from their forthcoming collection, including fleece, shirting and headwear. The collection take a more subtle approach than some of the brand’s previous efforts, and so far, I really like what I see.

Fresh off the back of the brand’s limited Starter cap release, the collection works, as all King collections do, in a number of small ranges of coordinating pieces. The clean lines of their oxford shirting and simple basics like the black and blue hoodies shown below stand out of one of the most polished collections from King I’ve seen to date. My personal highlight would be the ‘KA’ branded crew and cap, combined with the brand’s grey acid washed denim, the first look cannot be faulted. If I had to pick a negative, it would be the defy range (the cloud with multi-coloured drips), as personally don’t feel it has moved with the rest of the collection, and lets the side down slightly graphically – it’s time for King to shake it off and move on.

The Spring/Summer collection will be available online and from King Apparel stockists shortly. The rest of the lookbook follows below. Is this a step in the right direction for King? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
