New record store Rye Wax to open in Peckham

Rye Wax 001

Rye Wax is a new record store, book shop and cafe that will soon be opening its doors in Peckham, South London.

It’s a rare treat to be announcing the opening of a record store rather than the closing of one and I’m enjoying it. The brilliantly named Rye Wax will be taking up residency in the basement of the Bussey Building in Peckham and peddling records, books, comics and coffee in style. So far, not much has been said about the store or its opening other than the info on the image below and this quote that FACT managed to get from the folks behind Rye Wax …

“We will specialise in a wide range of new and second hand stock, hopefully filling a gap in the market for new dance music this side of the river. We’re looking to get feedback from our customers as we grow and try [to] stock whatever they’re feeling at the time, whether it is records, books, or comics.”

Exciting times for record lovers in Peckham!

Keep up to date with developments via the Rye Wax Facebook page.
