The 10 rules of brand-building by Bobby Hundreds

Bobby Hundreds has given an insight into his 10 rules for building a strong, healthy brand.

Often cited as one of the best young entrepreneurs to come out of streetwear, it would be wise to listen to what he has to say on this topic. Wether you agree or not, and wether you like his brand or not is a different matter. Below is his list of 10 rules to guid you on your path to brand success in today’s age, but be sure to head to The Hundreds blog to read his reasoning behind each.

01. Put up or shut up.

“If you don’t have something to say, don’t say anything at all.”

02. The best selfie is an otherie* (*not a word).

“The best way to define what you are, is by what you’re not.”

03. Jae’s rule.

“Consistency consistently.”

04. Stay hungry, not thirsty.

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.”

05. Be the best at being you.

06. Have heart.

“The passion play.”

07. Kill ’em all.

Here to make ends, not friends.”

08. Don’t listen to the feedback.

“Love and Hate in the Time of Internet.”

09. Forever young.

Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

10. Have fun.

Bobby Hundreds speaking truth!!! I know allot of hype beasts give Mr H allot of shit but I think in some ways he has allot in common with what Shawn Stussy was doing with the Tribe back in the 80’s/90’s… just one man’s opinion!

All agreed apart from No.7… collaboration is key, not being a dickhead just because you’re ambitious.
