FUCT SSDD ‘Safe At Home’ SS14

Erik Brunetti‘s premium sub-brand FUCT SSDD moves on from the Seattle inspired ‘A Denial’ collection to Los Angeles, for the brand’s SS14 project ‘Safe At Home.’

The title is no doubt a nod to the brand’s beginnings in Los Angeles and the designs feature classic Americana and western motifs accented by various catchlines such as ‘In My Hour Of Darkness.’ It feels like there’s a subtle nod to the historic LA riots and depraved gang culture from around the time of 1991-1992, which is when FUCT started. Themes and symbology aside, this is another brilliant collection from SSDD. There’s an abundance of military, western and Americana inspired pieces. Some highlights include the MA-1 In My Hour Of Darkness bomber jacket, Death Bunny bandana shirt, The Die BD shirt and Border L/S. To accompany the collection there is some stunning landscape photography of rural California by Rick Rodney, who’s been responsible for the photography in previous SSDD look-books.

Select pieces from the ‘Safe At Home Collection’ are available at Peggs & son now.
