Crepe City are to host the first ever CCBBQ event this coming Saturday, taking the reigns from the infamous Crooked Tongues BBQ events of years past.
The Crooked Tongues BBQ is the stuff of legend – a chance for the UK’s sneaker collectors, industry heads and all those in between to get together once a year and celebrate sneaker culture in the UK with good music, BBQ food and often other events and installations.
There hasn’t been a CTBBQ since 2011’s Nike sponsored event at the Queen of Hoxton which gave birth to the first Infrared Hyperfuse Air Max 90s, and it has been sorely missed. As the leading force in London’s new sneaker wave, Crepe City have stepped up to the plate with what will hopefully be the first of many CCBBQ events.
Taking place this coming Saturday August 30th, Team CC will take over 93 Feet East on Brick Lane (just around the corner from the Truman Brewery halls that have hosted the Crepe City Sneaker Festival in recent months) for a day of food, drinks, music and of course, footwear. Crepe City will also bring in a few elements of their main event with a number of sneaker sellers and competitions throughout the afternoon.
Attendance is by invitation only, so you’ll need to email firstname.lastname@example.org before Thursday for your chance at an invite. Props for Crepe City for stepping up to bat and bringing even more energy to London’s sneaker circuit – we know this is going to be a good one.
