The Monocle Guide to Good Business

Monocle Guide to Good Business 001

Monocle continue to add to their list of published books with this in-depth study of setting up and running a business titled “The Monocle Guide to Good Business”.

Available in both a standard edition and limited edition, both are of a higher quality than most limited edition books, but that will come as no surprise if you’ve already got familiar with The Monocle Guide to Better Living or the Winkreative Design Stories books from the Monocle camp. As the book isn’t out yet, we’ve yet to see exactly what it consists of, but we do know that it features office furniture guides, advice on finding funding, inspirational start-up stories, tips on getting your business off the ground, and case studies sourced from various entrepreneurs, business leaders and creatives over the 300 pages. Monocle appear to have the golden touch, both in how they present their work and the quality of the work they’re presenting, so we’re expecting nothing short of an essential business reference book with a difference.

In their own words …

“Don’t expect management speak, nor miracles for untold riches. It’s not a book about staging a revolution. It’s a book about doing things well (from how you run the show to the pens you buy). And even taking your dog to work. The Monocle Guide to Good Business is the ultimate reference for doing a job you love.”

We’re very fond of the idea of “doing a job you love” here at The Daily Street, it’s essentially what we’ve dedicated our lives too, so this book speaks directly to one of our largest passions. We’ve already got a limited edition copy on order!

To get your copy, head over to the Monocle Shop where you can pre-order a standard edition for £40 and a limited edition for £80 ahead of it’s release next month. You can see a few sneaky shots of the book going through the final editing process below.
