Note Apparel AW14 ‘A United Kingdom’

Note Apparel present their AW14 collection and it’s one that feels like the brand’s most comprehensive to date. Referring to their origins here in the United Kingdom, this body of work by Note displays the brand’s intentions for the future, harnessing quality materials and attention to detail.

Note Apparel’s intentions here aren’t necessarily all about patriotism, but rather an earnest nod to the fact that they strive to produce or finish all of their products here in the UK. The collection contains familiar winter wear pieces such as hoodies, beanies and jackets. The brand have made a conscious effort to provide a selection of high quality garments here. The hoodie is made of 100% French Terry cotton and you have limited pieces such as the Military Issue Barathea Wool Coat made with materials sourced here in England. Other highlights include the made to order crew jacket, which is in collaboration with Ebbets Fields Flannels. Although respect is due for the execution throughout this collection, the American produced tees, hoodies and beanies feel counterintuitive to the core idea presented. However, the logistics and practicality of producing everything in one place is never an easy task for a young brand.

Developing a more consistent theme and idea in the next collection, coupled with the quality materials and execution here, is an exciting prospect and one that we hope to see.

You can get your hands on the ‘A United Kingdom’ collection over at the Note Apparel store now.
