Having teased this release on Tuesday, today we take a full look at the new Nike SB Free shoe in this Quick Strike colourway.
It’s been a long search since the early days of Nike SB playing with the Tre shoe family back in 2005, but Nike SB have finally cracked the secrets of moving their Nike Free innovation over into the skateboarding category to full effect. The Nike SB Free features Free siping on the forefoot (learn more about that in our interview with Free inventor Tobie Hatfield) and a bit on the heel, giving the wearer all the flexibility he/she needs when skateboarding. Supposedly, it takes a little bit to get used to having so much flexibility while skateboarding. With this in mind, Nike SB kept the upper a more traditional material, suede, so that some of the shoe felt consistent with previous skate footwear.

The Nike SB Free launches in 2 Quick Strike colourways (black & white) on 24th December via the Nike SB app before hitting nike.com on Christmas Day and select retailers on Boxing Day. Additional general release colourways will launch at retailers on 1st January 2015.
