The PUMA Blaze of Glory was one of those cult shoe designs which many fans coveted and obtained with difficulty. In the latter half of the 2000s, a string of collaborations brought the focus back on this iconic design and we’ve seen more general releases and availability of late. This release sees Barcelona boutique LimitEDitions combine their creative vision with PUMA’s for their take on the Blaze of Glory, taking influence from the All Saints holiday and Catalan festival of the dead, ‘Castanyada.’
More specifically these two shoes are inspired by the culinary offerings of the Castanyada festival, where apparently a healthy amount of chestnuts, panellets and sweet potatoes are eaten in celebration of the holiday. As you can see, the colours take influence from those regional and celebratory foods, with a colour palette that works well for this time of year. There’s a mix of rich leathers, premium mesh and of course, PUMA’s Trinomic technology.
