With PUMA‘s sponsorship of Arsenal, it was only a matter of time before the legendary football club and PUMA’s lifestyle arm began to collaborate. Is this the first release, putting to use the iconic PUMA Suede sneaker?
There’s been no official confirmation of a PUMA x Arsenal collaboration outside of football from either side, but this photo has just hit Instagram thanks to Mikey from Trapstar, who has been getting very cosy with PUMA lately. It didn’t take a fortune teller to predict that PUMA would start to place the iconic Arsenal badge on sneakers, but the big question has been when. Well, apparently it’s not too long now and the Suede will be a part of it.
Will there be more silhouettes? An Arsenal R698 or XT-2? Will they keep it simple with block red colourways or will they start to reference old Arsenal kits? You know that burgundy/navy/gold colourway from the 2007-2008 3rd kit would be a good shout. We’ll have to wait for the official announcement.
