UK brand HERESY present one of the best lookbooks we’ve seen in a little while, showcasing their new ‘Cunning Folk’ collection.
Presenting their Summer 2015 collection in a lookbook that has been heavily influenced by Baroque still life paintings, the images have a sensible, yet playful nature to them, allowing the clothing and styling to shine through. You could say that the Baroque reference is a playful nod to the traditional folk references for the collection itself. In fact, the title of the collection is a pun in itself, so it’s really not far fetched to presume that HERESY have extended that into the visual elements of the lookbook.
The collection draws on traditional British folk heritage, from designs to cuts, making a very unique and at points brave collection for a streetwear brand. In amongst the more conceptual pieces are the usual streetwear staples such as baseball caps and long-sleeved tees.
HERESY continue to push their style forwards and are well on track to becoming one of the most interesting young brands in Britain (in my opinion).
